Loving Touch

massage-neck

we all desire touch…especially loving touch. It doesn’t matter how sweet our lover’s words are, how gorgeous their smile, or what gifts they buy us. There is something so essential about touch — we all crave touch, and (as science bears out) we absolutely require touch for our optimal well-being.

Unfortunately, most of us are not getting anywhere near enough healthy touch. Life is moving so fast. If you’ve ever been in long-term relationship, you know that when sharing living quarters with a spouse or partner over a sustained period, at some point, intimacy becomes a casualty. One day we wake up and realize that intimate touch has been missing for years. All the busyness, responsibilities, and distractions that come with managing a job, a home, a family seem to leave us too little time and energy for caring, intimate touch.

And with this loss, we can see that our deep connection with our beloved has begun to diminish, as well.

To Thrive, Our Relationships Need Attention
What if we told you, though, that you can have back all that intimacy you once shared with your partner…you’d want to know how, right? (Even if you’re skeptical like me, you’d at least hear us out, wouldn’t you…?) If so, I urge you to read on…

As a couple in intimate relationship for over 36 years, Gloria and I have certainly experienced many up-and-down times. We know the physical and emotional pain that some psychologists term “skin hunger” — when touch is in too-short supply and we are suffering, individually, from its lack. And we’ve also learned some secrets for keeping juice flowing in a relationship, and in our bodies.

Couples Workshops. If you’re interested in loving touch for couples, please let us know. We’ll keep you updated on any forthcoming classes, workshops, and retreats where we carve out time so that you both can experience the healing that comes from one another’s mindful and loving touch. (YogaPhile@yahoo.com)
